eLearning Example: Trail Quest

Project Overview

Make smart choices, stay alert, and finish strong as you hike Caballero County trails. Join Avery, a trail ranger, as you investigate the right trails for your fitness level, preparation, and weather conditions. Track your Trail Quest progress in the display bar that adds points as you travel the park. This course was built with accessibility in mind, including guidance on screen readers, zooming and scaling, optional audio narration, and encountering accessible interactions. Get experience staying safe hiking Caballero’s trails as you:

  • Compare and contrast trail options in a Process interaction with audio clips and trail maps accompanying trail difficulty statistics

  • Identify items you plan to bring to stay hydrated and protected from the sun in a reverse hotspot interaction

  • Brainstorm your top 3 must-pack items for a summer hike in a reflection block

  • Assist a fellow hiker experiencing heat-related illness in a branching scenario following a tabs interaction outlining major symptoms

  • Walk through first response steps for addressing heat exhaustion or dehydration in a timeline accompanied by audio clips
